Redevelopment brings hope for resurgence of black-owned businesses

“Urban and East Knoxville are more of a focus development now, so I hope that there will be a resurgence of black-owned businesses with brick-and-mortar space. It has been rough trying to navigate through the complexities of urban renewal. I think we will thrive against all odds and be able to say we made it, and we are back. That’s the goal,” said Dr. Dasha Lundy, who remains positive.
